Qixin Chen is a research associate in the Department of Electrical Engineering at Tsinghua University in China. He worked as a research assistant at the University of Manchester in 2008 and received his PhD from Tsinghua University in 2010. His research interests include low-carbon electricity technology, electric load forecasting, and power system operation and planning. He has published about 30 papers and received three patents in the last three years and was granted two provincial/ministerial science and technology awards by the Chinese government for his contributions on decarbonization of the power industry. He was recognized with a Prosper.net-Scopus Young Scientist Award in 2011.
