Sarbajit Banerjee is an associate professor of chemistry at the University at Buffalo. He is a graduate of St. Stephen’s College and SUNY Stony Brook and was a postdoctoral researcher at Columbia University before starting his independent career at UB. Sarbajit is particularly interested in exploring the influence of finite size on strongly correlated systems and in the design and fabrication of multifunctional nanostructured thin films. He was awarded a National Science Foundation CAREER award in 2009, the American Chemical Society ExxonMobil Solid-State Chemistry Fellowship in 2010, and the Research Corporation Cottrell Scholar Award in 2010.
